The Authentic Word Ministry, in collaboration with the Churches of CĂ´te d'Ivoire are organising the Africa Arise and Shine Conference in Abidjan. For the most up-to-date information, participants are encouraged to read this document entirely.

Africa Arise and Shine Initiative is an International Christian gathering launched in August 2000 in Kigali, Rwanda, with the aim of awakening Africans on the continent and the diaspora to raise, live Christ-Centered lives and play their pivotal roles in the spiritual, social and economic transformation of this beautiful continent.
In 2025, for the first time in 26 years, it will be held outside Rwanda, marking a historic milestone in Abidjan, CĂ´te d'Ivoire.

III. General Information about CĂ´te d'Ivoire
Côte d'Ivoire, also known as Côte d'Ivoire and officially known as the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, is a country on the southern coast of West Africa. The official language is French, with local indigenous languages also widely used, including Agni, Baoulé, Cebaara Senufo, Dan and Dioula. In total, there are about 78 languages spoken in Côte d'Ivoire.
The country has a religiously diverse population, including numerous followers of Islam, Christianity and traditional faiths, such as animism.
IV. Location
The capital city is Yamoussoukro, which is located in the centre of the country, while the largest city and economic centre is the port city of Abidjan. CĂ´te d'Ivoire borders Liberia to the west, Guinea to the north-west, Mali to the north, Burkina Faso to the north-east, Ghana to the east and the Gulf of Guinea in the Atlantic Ocean to the south. It is the third-most populous country in West Africa.
V. Visa and Immigration Requirements

VI. Currency
$1 = CFA 570
The official currency in CĂ´te d'Ivoire is the CFA franc. The euro and the United States dollar can be easily exchanged for CFA francs in banks and in some hotels. Credit cards are more widely accepted and cash machines are plentiful in major cities.
VII. Health Requirements
Yellow fever vaccination is required to enter CĂ´te d'Ivoire
Malaria prophylaxis is recommended before, during and after travel.
VIII. Climate
Equatorial and southern savanna types of climate prevail. The dry season lasts from about November to March. The rainy season lasts from April to October. The time zone for CĂ´te d'Ivoire is Greenwich Mean Time (UTC+0).
IX. Electricity Supply and Voltage
220 V and 50 Hz
There are two associated plug types: types C and E. Plug type C has two round pins, and plug type E has two round pins and a hole for the socket's male earthing pin.
X. Mobile Telecommunications Services
There are three major mobile phone operators in CĂ´te d'Ivoire: Orange (French), MTN (South African) and Moov Africa (Moroccan). A SIM card can be purchased for about $3. Many foreign mobile phone companies offer roaming services to their customers in CĂ´te d'Ivoire.
XI. Security and Safety
We have partnered with local police and other security agencies to ensure a secure environment at all event venues, including accommodation areas. Trained security personnel will be stationed throughout the premises.
